Welcome To CarseWeather

summary graphic

This is a personal weather site offering current and historical weather observations from my automatic personal weather station, along with supporting data from other internet sources.

25/2/12 The new outdoor sensor is now installed and working

20/2/12 There is currently a problem with the outdoor sensors. - We are awaiting delivery of a replacement unit

24/05/11 CarseWeather suffered a major power outage between 17:30 hrs 23rd May and just after midday 24th May. Sorry for the loss of live readings.

30/08/09 CarseWeather is now running a WS2350 weather station. Wind speed and direction are once again available.

26/07/08 We have just set up WXSIM weather forecasting software. This produces a local forecast using various data sources. The forecast can be seen here. I am still tweaking it so please do not rely completely on this forecast.

The site is situated in the Carse of Gowrie, the northern aspect of the aluvial flood plain of the river Tay - one of Scotland's great rivers. We are situated on a hillock, approximately 40m above sea level, half way between the cities of Perth and Dundee.

Have a browse round. I would welcome any comments here.
